This satisfying version of baked squash gets its incredible flavor and melt-in-your-mouth texture from a slow bake followed by a quick broil.

1 ~ 1/2 pounds butternut squash, peeled and cut into 1/2 ~ inch cubes { 3 1/2 cups }
2 T all-purpose flour
2 T lemon juice
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup seasoned bread crumbs{ your favorite flavor }
2 T chicken broth
Heat oven to 350º. Spray a square, 9x9x2 baking dish with cooking spray.
Mix all ingredients in a medium bowl, except bread crumbs and broth. Spread in pan. Bake uncovered about 50 minutes or until squash is tender.
Mix bread crumbs and broth; sprinkle over squash. Set oven control to broil. Broil squash with top about 4 inches from heat for about 3 minutes or until bread crumbs are brown.
Makes 6 servings.You can easily double the recipe.
