Mix
together in a medium mixing bowl.
1 ½ cup mayonnaise
1 cup shredded sharp cheese
½ cup thinly sliced onion or one bunch of green onions chopped
3 minced garlic cloves chopped or 1 T. minced garlic in the jar
1 loaf French bread
Cut French bread length ways, lay open. Spread mixture on each half of
bread about ¼ to ½ inch thick.
Sprinkle with parmesan cheese. Wrap individually tightly in foil. Refrigerate
for 1 to 2 hours. Bake at 400° for 10 minutes or until heated through. Remove bread from oven, place
on a cutting board, remove from foil, slice bread into 2 inch pieces.
Serve hot.
Freeze
the individually foil, wrapped bread up to 3 months and use at a
later date. Bake at 400° for 20 to 25 minutes or until warm through.
