6 cups of fresh rhubarb wash & cut in 1
inch pieces
2 cups fresh raspberry { substitute frozen raspberry }
1 1/2 cup sugar
1 large package raspberry jello ~ dry
1 white cake mix ~ dry
1 cup walnuts ~ chopped
1 cup water
1/2 cup butter or margarine
Grease a glass 9 X 13 baking dish. Layer washed and diced rhubarb evenly
into the bottom of the baking dish, layer raspberries, evenly over top of
rhubarb, sprinkle 1 & 1/2 cups of sugar over top of the berries, sprinkle
dry jello over berries, sprinkle the dry white cake mix over jello, the
last layer will be the chopped walnuts.
Pour 1 cup of
water over top of all. Melt butter or margarine and drizzle over top of
mixture. Bake at 350 for 40 min. You can serve it warm with vanilla ice
cream or cool completely and top with whipped topping, ENJOY. Serves 8 to
10
